What are these deaths?

These are seven deaths that each player must have lived through at least 1 time. However, these are not ordinary deaths, but rather embarrassing deaths. Mostly these moments are caused by accident or intentionally and by the opponent. All the worse if you were even observed by others during these escapades.

Eaten by the shark

How does that come about?

The sharks came with Chapter 2 – Season 3, when the entire map was flooded after a live event. These merciless hunters of the sea not only look brutal, but they are.

Surely you’ve been fishing one day and suddenly a mysterious melody appears. You ask yourself why it sounds and think nothing more of it. Then you’re on your way to cross your lake and suddenly this beast comes out of the water.

You save yourselves on land and celebrate that you have survived this attack. So you continue your journey, but suddenly the shark jumps out of the water and eats you in mid-air. A cruel way to die.

Fallen to death

How nice when you meet an opponent who is a regular beast at building. All the better for you, since you can easily rob him of his honor.

Destroy the foundation of his building to deal with your opponent. You will see that his building is razed to the ground. After a blink of an eye, he will subsequently break his axles.

Be careful though, this can happen to you too. So don’t build yourself up too high or, in an emergency, quickly use a jump pad to get to safety from your supporting building. This way you will avoid humiliation.

Being killed during an emote

How does this happen? You surely know that after a 1 vs 1 you first rub your dead opponent’s nose in victory. But don’t rejoice too early. Most of the time this could also mean the end for you.

So while you’re fighting, a 3 player could join you from a distance and watch your fight from afar. So after you pick your happy dance and celebrate, make sure no one is near you. Otherwise, it won’t be you who laughs last.

Catapulted into the storm yourself

How does that come about? I’m sure you’re all familiar with the shock grenades. Fortnite set an election in which you could choose whether to vote with gold for the shock grenade launcher or the well-known pocket tear. Clearly the grenade launcher won and now you have the same risk as with the shock grenades.

Many players use this tool to move quickly. So you use the grenade while sprinting, throw it under your feet, jump up at the right moment and get catapulted forward for a good bit. In a life and death chase, you can quickly escape danger using this method, or in the worst case scenario, you’ll be chasing into the storm yourself.

Not only is this embarrassing, but it often happens near the end of a match. It’s usually so annoying that you’re about to split your controller or keyboard in two.

Killed with a rocket launcher

How does that come about? The infamous self-inflicted death with a rocket launcher. You’re probably in a match and you’re just happy to have found a rocket launcher. Afterwards, you stroll through the map with your squad and spy a few enemies tearing apart a POI.

You see your moment to shine as a hero and shove a rocket in every enemy’s face. Unfortunately, that’s mostly wishful thinking. You wake up in reality and try to hit an opponent with a missile, but instead blow yourself up. After that, you have to face a humiliation and are bombarded by emotes from your opponents.

Go more tactical and shoot your rocket at a distance, then you can spare yourself this.

Run Over

How does this come about? Cars are a great way to move from A to B quickly and without much hassle. However, many players use the vehicles as weapons. Some of the vehicles like the truck are almost as robust as tanks. With the right speed, your opponents can run you over, throw you in the air and thus put an end to you.

This happens so often that in Lazy Lake you don’t dare walk around on the open road for fear of being run over by a vehicle.

Dishonored by the scout scanner

How does this come about? You may have caught wind of streamers trying to land certain trick shots with the scout scanner. Your opponent tries to shoot you so low that you only have a shred of HP left.

Then, with a risky jump and a precisely calculated shot trajectory, he tries to hit you with this scanner’s bullet. Anyone who can pull off a kill like that is definitely crass on the move and takes the honor away from any player. Now why is that so bad you ask? The scanner does very little damage, as it’s mainly there to scan the environment for enemies.
