Fortnite’s new – Season 2 began on March 20, giving players not only new content in the form of the Battle Pass, but also new weapons, vehicles, and blatant changes to the game’s mechanics.
Many fans of the colorful battle royal shooter never thought Epic would disable build mode, but it happened. Now we’ll show you how you should behave better in battle to secure a victory.

This time we won’t show you the usual methods that will help you win, because Epic has changed some things. We have chosen four new things that you should definitely use.
You can’t ignore zeppelins
What are zeppelins?
Zeppelins are located over most POIs (Points of Interests) that have been taken by IO. You can see their locations on your map. They are marked with an oval icon equipped with two red lights.
What would I use it for?
The airships are very useful because they give you access to the large supply chests of the Imagined Order. When opened, they give you a lot of weapons, ammunition, shield potions and gadgets.
It’s worth traveling there not only for the loot, but also for the height advantage. You can shoot down players with it without any problems and you will be on the “high ground”. This gives you the best overview of the battlefield and allows you to plan your next steps, since you have a good view.
If enemies are chasing you, you can use a cannon near the airship’s engines. This can shoot you in any direction and guarantee you a safe escape.
Prefer to use tanks in occupied POIs
Which vehicle is it?
It’s about the new vehicle “Tank”, with which players can flatten everything since – Season 2. This vehicle can score points not only with its firepower, but also with its destructive fury and can lay everything in ruins.
What should I use it for?
Should you land in a POI occupied by IO, be on the lookout for tanks. These battle beasts not only protect you from a lot of damage with their 2,500 health, but also dish out a lot of damage.
You have the choice between a heavy machine gun on the roof or the big cannon in the tank. With the latter you can even take out the new Battlebuses without any problems. The tank is not worth it for long journeys, but in various locations they serve well as a reinforcement of your firepower.
Should building be reactivated, you can drive against any building without resistance. These will immediately give way and leave your opponents without cover.
Get used to the new movement
What is it?
In – Season 2, Fortnite disabled building. In keeping with this, Epic gave players a new way to sprint.
When you press the left stick, you activate sprinting, which allows you to reach higher levels when you jump. Additionally, the new parkour feature lets you pull yourself up from the edges and corners of buildings.
So you are no longer dependent on building, but can purely through your new way of moving, overcome obstacles without problems.
What should I use it for?
Fortnite’s meta is in constant flux. Core features like building usually need to be learned by players in order to compete with other opponents.
Since the new Movement will probably last in Fortnite in the future, players should get comfortable with it and get used to it. This will make it easy to win sweatier battles if you can handle the new speed.
Use exotic weapons
What is it?
In – Season 2, Fortnite did a good job of dicing up the exotic weapons, giving you strong alternatives for your loadout.
Exotic weapons can only be bought from NPCs on the new map for a large sum of gold. But their price is worth it, because they bring special effects that support you in battle.

To do this, you’ll need to land at the various NPCs scattered around the entire map and shop there.

- The Double – A double-barreled shotgun that pushes you and your opponent away when you fire it
