With the freshly released patch 1.33, dated August 17, 2022, Warcraft 3: Reforged has finally received many of the features and systems that probably most fans of the original were expecting at launch.

Not only for us was Warcraft 3: Reforged among the biggest disappointments of the gaming year 2020. On Metacritic, the remake of one of the best games of all time still has a devastating user score of 0.6. The reasons for this are manifold and revolve around deleted features, technical construction sites, broken promises, the blocking of the original for online content as well as the prominent advertising with reworked in-game sequences until well after launch, which did not even make it into the finished game.

New patch brings important launch features

With a view to the upcoming launch of WotLK Classic you might still want to give this Warcraft 3: Reforged another chance. The good news is that with the freshly released patch 1.33, dated August 17, 2022, the remastered has finally received many of the features and systems that most fans of the original were probably expecting 31 months ago. Here are the highlights:

• Players can now choose between rated and unrated matches in the Versus menu.
• There are fixed – Season s and rankings with a total of eight ranks and various filter options.
• You can now view the statistics of the current game with “!Stats”.

• You can view player profiles by right-clicking on the player icon in the lower right corner of the screen, or by right-clicking on a player’s name and selecting “View Profile.”
• Custom games are now worldwide and can be filtered by ping from all regions.
• A collection of classic Versus portraits has been added. Portraits are unlocked when you reach a certain number of total wins.

• Numerous adjustments and balance changes have been made to several campaign maps.
• Camera zoom now supports zooming with the mouse wheel.
