Ultimate Team is arguably the biggest mode in FIFA 22, with new maps, events and weekly tasks added regularly to keep players on their toes.

This year there were a few innovations in FUT compared to its predecessor in FIFA 21. For example, there are:

• a new Weekend League system with less games on the weekend. And just recently the Weekend League qualification has been improved as well, which would probably have ended up in this list otherwise.
• The ability to watch regular preview packs from the beginning of the – Season without spending coins.
• An outdated Division Rivals system.

But while these changes were largely well received, there were also a few things that annoyed players in Ultimate Team that FIFA 22 should definitely improve next year. 3 of them we present to you here.

Less funny bugs

What was the problem? Several times in Ultimate Team 2021, things didn’t work as planned. For example, it started back in October when the red cards from the Weekend League Rewards suddenly became tradable and ended up on the transfer market.

On top of that, there were other problems, like:

In addition, there were also errors in the Versus event, for example, when the wrong cards were put into packs there. Such errors caused players to then have to wait for balances and thus frustration.

In addition there are also small things like the wrong display of special cards in matches, on which no player picture can be seen. FIFA 22 should definitely work on such things.

Improved and reliable gameplay

What is the problem? In and of itself there are a lot of good things in the gameplay of FIFA 22 this year, but some things can just frustrate – this is also emphasized in the FIFA subreddit again and again. For example, in some matches the player change just doesn’t work, although you do everything as usual, but still the wrong player is selected.

Here it happens that despite successful tackles you just can’t get to the ball and it just bounces back to your opponent.

The strange thing is that such problems do not occur constantly, but appear abruptly from time to time. This should definitely be remedied.

More exciting, creative events

What’s the problem? While old familiar events like Rulebreakers or the “Team of the Group Stage” were well received by the community, newcomers like “Signature Signings”, “Numbers Up” and especially “Versus” had a somewhat more difficult time with some players.

The criticism was that the events too often featured uninspired or old cards that would simply get a boost to any stats. The “Versus” event was actually eagerly awaited, as the prospect of “different versions of the same card” in the Fire and Ice versions was quite interesting. In the end, however, the maps were simply too similar and the actual appeal of the event was wasted.
