is one of the most popular games on Twitch and is very popular among competitive gamers. If you’re also a fan of the shooter, test your skills at Red Bull Campus Clutch, the global Valorant student tournament!

General

1. The first two agents are unlocked relatively quickly, after that it takes longer. Think carefully about which agents you are interested in before you use the tickets.

2. if you want to see how much money you have available in the next round, look in the buyscreen on the top left, there is the minimum amount. This way you can plan your economy.

3. use only even numbers for the position, thickness and length of the crosshair, otherwise it will not center. Also, we recommend turning off the display of bodies. This replaces them with holograms, which makes it easier to see the weapons lying around or, as a Sage, to know who you are reviving.

4. how far can other players hear you? Just look at the minimap while you walk around. When you make noises, circles go out from you that show where they can hear you.

5. there is a jumping course hidden in the practice range. At the end there is a small Easteregg waiting for you.

This is where the course starts.

To ping the map, you can hold the map key (M by default) and click on the map. Helpful to ping the bomb to the mates or to aim as Sova with the Ultimate at the right height.

7. to climb up ropes quietly hold your key to go slower (by default Shift) and don’t jump or hold on to the rope in the air beforehand.

8. are you interested in how much money the opposing team has available? Hold Tab and look in the Economy column. There you can see how much money your opponents can spend at the beginning of the round.

9. if you run around equipped with the knife, you are the fastest.

10. you can disarm the spike halfway, set it down and disarm it further afterwards. Handy to take out another defender in tight situations.

11. the last round before changing sides is always announced. Invest all your money, also in pistols. Don’t forget to use your ultimates.

12. your maximum balance can be 9000. If you are maxed out in the next round or your teammates don’t have enough money for their equipment, they can right-click on the weapon they want. You can then buy for them in the buy menu on the left.

13. draw? Does not exist! If the score is 12-12, there will be two overtime rounds where everyone gets 5000 available and ultimates are reset to 4 orbs. You have to win both of them to decide the game in your favor, in case of 1-1 the overtime will be repeated.

All about Abilities

14. in order not to be blinded by Flashbangs (Breach, Skyebzw. Phoenix) for such a long time, look away from them for a short time in order to be blinded only for a short time.

15. ultimates are announced with loud global voice lines. Can you hear Phoenix or Raze screaming? Run away and take cover! Does Sova pull out his Ultimate Bow or does Brimstone fire his Orbital Strike? Get out with the knife and try to run!
In order to recharge your Ultimate, you need to reach a certain number of points. You get one point for every kill, every death, every spike disarmed and laid and by the orbs that are distributed on the maps.

17. abilities that freeze the opponent for a short time do not make him invulnerable. Is someone being revived by Sage, is Phoenix coming back from his Ultimate, or is Omen teleporting behind your team with his Ultimate? Just shoot the ghost. Be careful with Omen: wait until the ghost is gone and only then shoot. But he can react after a short time and shoot back.

Weapons Tips

Go to the Practice Range and practice using all the weapons, look at the spray patterns and how your movement affects the recoil. Also, the Shooting Range is a good place to practice your Aim.

19: When you are jumping or in the air with a shotgun, the weapon warps less than other weapons. Handy for the ropes on Split or when flying over Smokes with Jett. The same is true for Jett’s Ultimate, which hits the Crosshair pixel-perfectly with its primary fire.

20. the Bucky’s secondary fire reduces the spread and is effective against enemies standing a few meters away.

21. various load-outs are suitable for the Pistol Round. With the purchase of the Ghost, you can still buy Abilities, if you choose the Frenzy you still have enough money for a light Body Armor. If you choose the Sheriff, nothing extra will pay off – but every headshot is a guaranteed kill. If you trust the Classic, you can buy a Body Armor and Abilities.

22. The difference between ADS (Aiming Down Sights, right-click on some weapons) and Hip-Fire (without ADS) is that in ADS you follow the recoil of your weapon, which is lower on some weapons. Also, the rate of fire is reduced by 10% in ADS.

23. You can shoot through many walls and objects, even with pistols. How well this works is written in the description of each weapon.

24. If a wall or object allows you to shoot through it, your bullets will leave bullet holes on both sides, otherwise, only temporary cracks will be seen.

25. Phantom or Vandal? Depends on your play style and position. The Vandal has no damage reduction at long ranges, allowing for one-shot headshots, while the Phantom has better recoil and a higher rate of fire.

Valorant Beginner’s

Overwhelmed with Valorant? No wonder… Without experience in similar games (such as CS:GO or ) the start in Valorant is difficult. But don’t worry, we are here to help you with our Valorant Beginner Guide.

Valorant is a special game. Many think that getting into the game is easy, but without shooter experience, you’ll quickly be on the ropes. Even CS:GO veterans can get into trouble… In Counter Strike, there are no flying knife-throwing things-people. But that’s why we are here.

This beginner’s guide is meant to help you get started in Valorant and introduce you to the world of Valorant. After that, the most important features should be clear to you, so that the fun in Valorant is not lost.

Valorant Beginner Guide: Basics

Let’s start with the meaning behind the game. In other words: What is Valorant anyway? Valorant is a first-person shooter in which two teams consisting of five players face off. The first team to win 13 rounds wins. Both teams have a different role – attacker and defender.

The goal of the attackers is to place a spike and protect it until detonation. This must happen on one of the three spots (A/B/C). In turn, the defenders must prevent the attackers from doing so.

Each match consists of two halves. After the first half (12 rounds), the two teams switch roles. The attackers become defenders, the defenders become attackers. Easy.

Agents

Before the start of a match, each player must choose an agent. Agents have unique skills, which in most cases also require a certain playstyle (offensive, defensive, support, etc.). Currently there are 16 agents in total, but new agents have already been leaked and should be added soon.

As a new player, you can initially choose between 5 free agents: Brimstone, Phoenix, Sova, Jett and Sage. To unlock more agents, you will have to sign contracts, which is mostly done via Daily Quests or earning experience points.

Valorant Beginner Guide: The best agent to start with

Phoenix is by far the easiest agent to start with in Valorant. His skills are not too complicated, can be combined well in any situation. But watch out with the flashbangs (aka your Q skill)! You’ll probably flashbang yourself and your mates quite often in the beginning, but practice makes perfect!

Valorant Beginner Guide: The best mode to start with

Stay away from Unrated mode for the beginning. This may sound strange, but especially the beginning of Valorant might be hard for you. Frustration will lead to quick quits, which in turn will get you involved in penalties and XP loss. That’s why you should start with Spike Rush first. An average game here lasts 8 minutes, while other modes can easily go over 50 minutes. In Spike Rush, you’ll be quickly released from suffering without having to take any penalties.

In addition, you don’t have to do any eco rounds in Spike Rush. This means that you’ll be able to try out your agents’ abilities, as well as the most varied weapons. Spike Rush is a great mode to learn the basics of Valorant. When you feel like you’re firmly in the saddle, you can try your luck in Unrated mode. After 20 matches in Unrated mode, you’ll gain access to Competitive mode, where you can earn ranks.
