10 monsters not miss to the psycho spectacle

In Pokémon GO, the big is currently underway, where you can meet numerous Pokémon. We at MeinMMO have taken a look at what kind of monsters they are and tell you which ones you should definitely get.

Which Pokémon are we talking about? Pokémon GO is currently hosting this year’s Psycho Spectacular, which brings you a number of themed Pokémon in the wild, in eggs, and in raids. And you can also find one or the other specimen in the rewards of the event quests and the limited research.

But not all the monsters you can meet during the event are worthwhile. We’ve taken a closer look at the spawns and have listed 10 Pokémon that you should get for the Psycho Spectacular.

We start our ranking with the best Pokémon for the Raids and the GO Battle League, which you can find on the page, and on page 2 we show you all the monsters that are worth getting, especially the Shiny variants.

When is the event? The Psycho Spectacular runs from September 06, 2022 at 10:00 AM local time until September 12, 2022 at 8:00 PM local time.

1st Mega Simsala

Pokémon GO Mega Simsala Shiny
Mega Simsala normal (left) and as Shiny (right).

What kind of Pokémon is this? Mega Simsala is the temporary evolution of the Psycho Pokémon Simsala from the first generation of games. The monster makes its debut in the game for the Psycho Spectacular. To perform the evolution, you need 200 Mega Energy.

Why is Mega Simsala worth it? Just a look at Simsala’s stats shows that the Pokémon can benefit from an enormous attack value. Its Mega evolution is even stronger and has the highest value behind Deoxys (attack form).

If you catch a corresponding Simsala after the Mega Raid, it will also learn the charge attack Psychokinesis during the event. This is loaded relatively quickly and does a lot of damage to the opponent. For this reason, you should definitely secure the Pokémon for your Raid battles.

Where can you find it at the event? Mega Simsala will be found in the Mega Raids during the Psycho Spectacular. There you can get the Mega Energy you need and then develop a strong Simsala yourself. If you’re lucky, you’ll even encounter a Shiny Simsala after the raid.

Here you can find the best counters against Mega Simsala.

2. abra

Abra normal (left) and as Shiny (right)

What kind of Pokémon is this? Abra keeps us in the Simsala family, as the first-generation Psycho Pokémon can be evolved into Simsala via Kadabra and eventually Mega Simsala.

Why is Abra worth it? If you’re looking for a strong Psycho Pokémon, but don’t want to spend passes on the corresponding Mega Raids, you should keep an eye out for Abra. While this monster isn’t particularly strong itself, its evolution Simsala allows it to score decent points in the Raids.

Thus, Simsala benefits from a high attack value and solid stamina and defense values. Even though it can’t quite get past its competitors, such as Mewtu and Hoopa, its moveset of Confusion and Psychokinesis secures it a place among the top 10 Psycho attackers in the game.

In addition, your Simsala will automatically learn Psychokinesis as an event attack during the Psycho Spectacular if you evolve Kadabra accordingly.

Where can you find it during the event? Abra spawns in the wilderness throughout the event. If you’re lucky, you might even encounter a shimmering specimen there. You can also find Abra’s evolution Kadabra in the wild from time to time. However, it cannot be caught in its Shiny form.

3rd Trasla

Trasla, Kirlia, Guardevoir and Galagladi normal (left) and as Shiny (right).

What kind of Pokémon is this? Trasla is a Psycho and Fairy Pokémon from the 3rd generation of games. It can be evolved into Guardevoir and Galagladi via Kirlia.

Why is Trasla worth it? Trasla itself tends to be one of the weaker monsters in the game. However, the same cannot be said of his two evolutions Guardevoir and Galagladi. They convince with a high attack value and solid values in defense and endurance.

Just like Simsala, they rely on a moveset of confusion and psychokinesis in battle, landing them among the top psycho attackers in the game as well.

Guardevoir can also convince as a strong fairy attacker with a moveset of charm and magic glow and is therefore also one of the best attackers in Pokémon GO.

Where can you find it at the event? You can find Trasla in the wild throughout the event, even as a Shiny if you’re lucky. And Kirlia, Trasla’s first evolution, will also show up here from time to time.

However, it behaves here as with Abra and Kadabra, only Trasla can be caught as a shiny specimen. To get Shiny Kirlia, you can only evolve Shiny Trasla.

4th Woingenau

Woingenau normal (left) and as Shiny (right)

What kind of Pokémon is this? A somewhat unremarkable Pokémon in this listing is Woingenau. The Psycho Pokémon from the 2nd generation of games only has the pre-evolution Isso. The monster does not have an evolution.

Why is Woingenau worth it? Even though Woingenau doesn’t really look special at first glance and can only score with a high endurance, it might still be interesting for one or the other player.

Woingenau manages to secure 27th place in the Super League PvPoke rankings with a moveset of counter, return, and mirrorscape. So if you’re still looking for a strong Psycho Pokémon for the GO Battle League, Woingenau could be an option. You can also catch the monster in its iridescent form.

Where can you find it at the event? Woingenau will be found throughout the Psycho Spectacular in the Level 3 Raids.

5. deoxys

Deoxys in its various forms normal (top) and as Shiny (bottom).

What kind of Pokémon is this? Deoxys is a legendary Psycho Pokémon from the 3rd generation of games. The monster has four different forms: Normal Form, Attack Form, Defense Form, and Initiative Form. It does not have an Advance or Evolution.

Why is Deoxys worth it? Basically, Deoxys is worthwhile especially for Shiny hunters, because all of its forms can be caught in the iridescent version with a little luck. If you take a closer look at the individual variants of the Psycho-Pokémon, you will notice that they differ significantly in their stats.

With the attack form, for example, Deoxys has the highest attack value in the game. However, its stats are really bad here in stamina and especially in defense, which is why the Pokémon doesn’t last very long in battle and thus doesn’t make it among the best attackers.

In its defense form, the stats are a bit more balanced overall. This monster convinces with a huge defense value and its stamina and attack are average. Thus, it is a solid candidate in the Super League and secures 42nd place with a moveset of Counter, Psyblast, and Thunderbolt.

Where can you find it at the event? Deoxys can be found in its various forms throughout the event in the Level 5 Raids. There, with a little luck, you can also catch it as a Shiny.

Here you can find the best counters against the different forms of Deoxys:

But during the Psycho Spectacular, not only strong Pokémon will be interesting for Raids or PvP battles, especially shiny specimens are very popular with many players. On the next page, we will show you 5 monsters that you should definitely get the Shiny for the event.
