Few sports betting providers can look back on such an exciting last decade as bwin. The Austrian company was founded in Vienna in 1997 and has been listed on the Vienna Stock Exchange since March 2000. In March 2011, bwin merged with PartyGaming plc, and in February 2016, bwin was acquired by GVC Holdings. Even today, bwin is one of the most influential bookmakers in Europe. Now, of course, the question is how today's experience with bwin turns out: Can bwin continue to consolidate its position as one of the best sports betting providers or has the bookie had to lose some of its standing in recent years? The following bwin test report is based on my bwin experiences of the past months.
